Meet Daisy! Daisy is a really sweet, snuggly chi-weenie who came into ODH care when her owner realized she could no longer provide the care she required. Daisy settled quickly into her foster home with two other ODH foster dogs.
Daisy is a friendly little dog with a big personality. She is usually pretty quiet, but not shy about helping her poodle sister alert mom to possible dangers, like squirrels running along the fence. The two of them can create quite a chorus when motivated, barking and howling from the back of the couch.
Daisy has a heart murmur that required evaluation by a cardiologist. The results were overall promising and she does not require any medications for her heart at this point. She was also cleared for a much needed dental. Her mouth was in worse shape than her heart, and after an extensive surgery, she emerged from the vet groggy and with only four teeth remaining. She recovered well and is adjusting to her nearly toothless status. She eats with enthusiasm and has not lost her interest in toys, including removing the stuffing from her toys without the benefit of teeth.
We are very glad Old Dog Haven was able to help Daisy and look forward to enjoying her as part of our family
