Little Dougie was left at the shelter by his longtime owner, undoubtedly because he had started leaving bloody urine everywhere.     The shelter vet removed bladder stones but didn’t see the huge tumor in his bladder
and another in his prostate which made it extremely difficult and painful to empty his bladder.

He had only a few days with us but they were filled with pets, treats, couch time and romps in the field and all that terrier-chihuahua attitude.     As much as I cried over how much pain he had endured – and why he wasn’t with his own person – I smile remembering him RACING up the hill with ears flapping and a giant smile on his little face.

We loved him, just not for long enough.
