From Evy’s Final Refuge mom:

Evy arrived at her Final Refuge home very scared and worried about this sudden change in her life, but it didn’t take long for her to settle in and find her place in the pack.

Evy’s behavior and personality make me think that she was very much loved in her previous home. She has the usual Chihuahua wariness of the new and unknown, but she is also confident and very affectionate and warms up to new people quickly.  At the top of Evy’s list of favorite activities is eating, followed by a play session with a squeaky toy. Snuggling and lap time are a close second, and she also loves sunshine and running around the backyard.

One of the first medical needs Old Dog Haven addressed was having her seen by a cardiologist, and she was promptly put on medication for heart disease. Next up for her will be a badly needed dental. Evy is a very sweet dog who has fit in wonderfully with the two other Final Refuge dogs and resident cat in her new home, and we hope to share many happy years ahead with her.

Update:  Sadly, Evy’s health failed her and it was time to say goodbye.  She had been with her family for 3 wonderful years and she will be greatly missed.
