Flame is a 55 pound shepherd mix gal who is estimated to be between 8-10 years old. Flame is aptly named due to her beautiful orange fur and sparkling eyes that burn so brightly! She is a total sweetheart who is incredibly quiet and respectful with people.  This sweet, kissy girl is so affectionate that she will lift your idle hand with her head in order to keep it occupied with petting her, which she adores! Her most favorite thing in the entire world is human companionship.

Flame came to Emerald City Pet Rescue with significant arthritis. She is on a few different medications that should only run her new family about $40 per month. She also needs a shot once a month which can be done in her new home or her adopter can come to have it done at the Emerald City Pet Rescue clinic. Due to her physical limitations, Flame does not “do” stairs well and would need a single story home or first floor apartment.

Because Flame is incredibly bright and good at escaping, she would do best in a home with humans 14 years old and older. She has a tendency to attempt to go on walk-a-bouts without her humans, so her adopters will need to take extra precautions so that she does not escape. Flame needs to be the only dog in the home, where she can soak up the limelight all on her own. She has very little interest in cats, so she would do fine in a home with feline friends.

If you’re feeling the spark for Flame, perhaps she is the one for you! Flame is cross posted for Emerald City Pet Rescue in Seattle, WA.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
