“Sandy is my name and I’m an 8 year old labrador retriever who weighs 68 pounds. You may be wondering how a pretty girl like me finds herself in need of a new home. Well my people have aged and they can no longer care for me. I miss them but I’m really still a youngster so I’m hoping I can find a new family who are active, like I am. Do you like to go for walks? I do! I am looking for a home with someone who can take me for daily walks. I love getting out and meeting people. I’m good with kind children of all ages and I’ve lived with cats. I do want to be an only dog though; this is how I grew up and I’d prefer to remain that way. Since my lifelong owners have been unable to care for me, I’ve lived with people who can leave me between 4-5 hours a day until I need a potty break.

At this time of my life I can still manage doing stairs. I was used to having company most of the time and I certainly would be happy if in my new home the people were around more often than not. If you allow me to sleep in bed with you at night, I’ll be so happy! Yep, I’m a loving, loyal girl looking for a for a family to love. I have so much to offer, I really do.”
