Gabby

Gabby is a 15 year old Shih tzu/Pekingese girl who was surrendered to ODH because her owner was terminally ill.  Her primary health problems were very bad tooth decay, low thyroid, and arthritis.  Thanks to ODH, she had a dental (lost 17 diseased teeth), had several benign growths removed and now is on meds for low thyroid and arthritis.

She is a sweet girl who loves to eat and enjoys the companionship of the other dogs.  She loves to dress and keep warm on cold and damp days.  Her previous owner must have shared breakfast every morning, because she will stare at you and grump till she gets a bite of toast.  (Good to know she is not spoiled!)  Gabby likes car rides and meeting knew people and she loves to cuddle with our mini schnauzer.

For her age, Gabby is a happy girl.  She takes a lot of naps, is potty trained and loves to walk around the backyard.  Gabby makes a wonderful addition to our home.  She can’t wait til Christmas because she knows that pets in our home are all spoiled by Santa.

Update:  Little Gabby lived to be a very old and much loved girl.   She was so fortunate to have found her perfect family to live the last chapter of her life.
