Looking at little Jake now, it’s hard to imagine he was once a stray at an overcrowded shelter with a multitude of medical issues and no good prospects for adoption. He arrived at the shelter in rough shape, and his health had been neglected for a long time.
He was suffering from eye and ear infections, a heart murmur and a mouthful of rotten teeth. His once beautiful white fur was now dirty and matted. Shelter staff reached out to Old Dog Haven, and we were able to find a wonderful foster home that was committed to love and care for Jake for the rest of his life. He has left his past behind and thanks to our generous donors, he has had all the medical care and treatment he needed to regain his health.
His foster family delights in showering him with attention and making sure every day is filled with happiness and comfort. Whether he is snoozing on the couch, out for a hike or dressed up for his frequent holiday photo shoots, there’s no doubt that Jake is living the best days of his life!
