12-year-old Jasmine is a very pretty black and tan dachshund who weighs 15 pounds. She does best with male dogs but would prefer to be an “only” dog if possible.  Jasmine has never been observed around cats. She has spent a lot of time with kind children who are 8 years old and older and she’s been very good with them. Jasmine can still manage stairs but care should always be taken with a senior dachshund and stairs. She enjoys her daily walks, never pulling on her leash-such a good girl! Currently Jasmine can go quite a few hours without needing a potty break; she will let you know she needs to go out by scratching at the door. While her people are away from home she will just find a good spot to curl up and wait. Upon your return home, she will greet you happily, running around with glee. Jasmine is a very loving dog; she loves to sit on laps and cuddle with her people.  For the past year Jasmine has a member of a military family.  They are moving out of state and cannot take her.  Jasmine needs a home very soon and one where  she can remain for the rest of her days.

Jasmine is waiting at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA for her forever home.
