Link is an 8 year old chihuahua/dachshund mix. He weighs about 19 pounds. He is a fun little dude who would love a home that will keep him peppy and active. He equally loves trotting around the yard and sleeping in the sun!

Link does well with the other dogs in his foster home. He does attempt to do some playing but mostly prefers to spend time in the company of other dogs. He is thriving at daycare two days a week. He has lived with cats previously so a dog-savvy cat would be okay. He would do best with older children or no children.

Since coming to rescue, Link’s leash manners have been improving greatly with a front-clip harness, and he enjoys walks and adventures such as running errands with his humans, going to dog friendly restaurants, meeting other people so he can get more pets, and eating any treats you would like to give him. He is a champion snuggler, and will keep you warm on the couch or in bed, where he likes to burrow under the blankets like a little sausage.

Link would be a great apartment dog. He loves his crate and would like to have a crate to snuggle in at his new home. He has been doing well with not having accidents in the house, but his previous owner reported some accidents/marking.

Link is posted for the Big Dog Rescue Project. No one told Link he’s not a big dog! He is currently being fostered in Seattle, WA. If you’d like to learn more about Link and adopting him, contact: bdrpinfo@gmail.com or complete an adoption application at www.bigdogrescueproject.org/adopt.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
