“My name is Lola. I’m looking to be someone’s one and only. I need a lifelong commitment, not another short time fling just because one is taken in by my good looks!

“At only 8 years old, I consider myself a young senior. I am an English bulldog. I weigh 50 pounds. If you are not familiar with my breed, please familiarize yourself with it. An English bulldog should not be allowed to become overweight or overheated. Our ears, skin and eyes usually require more care than your typical dog. We are worth the extra care!

“Only 6 months ago I came to the home I am in now. I had lived with a single woman previously; she had no kids or other animals and that was wonderful. Now I’m living with kids and other dogs and I am not happy about it! I need my space. I can’t tell you how I’d do with a cat but my guess is that I’d prefer not to live with one of those either.

“I’m spending more time than I’d like in my kennel. I will behave myself if you leave me alone in the home. I’m not a barky dog. I can still do stairs but my owner now thinks I’m not seeing well. This means a home without too many stairs to navigate and a fenced yard will be best for me. I hope my adopter will get my eyes checked out.

“I like to get out and play and I’m good on leash. I’d appreciate someone who will take me out to sniff and stretch my legs. Outings are not just good for my body but for my mood too. Once that’s done, I’d like to snuggle with you! Of course, that’s after we get to know each other. Are you looking for a forever friend? I could very well be your girl!”
