Macaroni
Lives to be adored
Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!
Macaroni, a 10-year-old Pomsky, joined our pack in September after his previous owner transitioned into memory care. A bundle of sweetness and energy, he integrated immediately with our other two dogs: Rigatoni, a 4-year-old cattle dog mix, and Gaby, an almost 14-year-old Beagle (who is also an Old Dog Haven rescue). Because all three pups love walks, wrestling, and toys, adding a third member to the party has completely ramped up the good vibes around our house!
When Macaroni first came into rescue, he was obese at 33 pounds. The veterinary team discovered he had a thyroid condition, and we are happy to report that after starting a daily medication, he is already down to 26.2 pounds—with just a few more to go! He also has a slight heart murmur, so he will receive an echocardiogram before moving forward with a much-needed dental procedure.
Macaroni is a total social butterfly. He has already “volunteered” at several Old Dog Haven events and absolutely loves everyone he meets!
