Malibu

Malibu’s owner took her to the shelter; she was so rickety and weak that staff immediately asked if ODH could help. A mastiff mix weighing a ladylike just-under-100 pounds, she took a while to get over her grief and interact with her new family. Once she started to enjoy herself she caused great alarm by eating an entire squeaky toy – which has never been recovered! She still has very limited mobility, despite medication and supplements, but she enjoys very short walks and is being pampered for as long as life is good. Update: Malibu’s time with her ODH family was much too brief, her body failed after only 4 months. She was truly loved and will be missed. Malibu passed away April 2015.
