Marley
Always eager to please and very loving
Marley is a very gentle, very sweet boy who gets along with everyone.
He is an 11 year old Labrador pitbull mix who weighs 75 pounds. Marley has lived with other dogs but can be picky with some. Proper introductions and patience is necessary when meeting other dogs. He is very calm and sociable. His best friend was a mini dachshund from next door that came over to play a few times a week.
He has lived with 2 cats. He can get a little excited about cats because he wants to play with them, but he has never harmed them. If one has a cat they should be dog savvy. Marley is also excellent with kids.
He is fine with staying home alone when needed. He does not have anxiety. He will not potty in the house if he is left alone all day. Marley will only bark to alert and to let you know someone is coming up the driveway. Otherwise, he is quiet.
This well-behaved boy is great on leash or off. He knows and follows commands very well and has never had any problems. When it’s TV time in the evening, he knows to settle down and keep you company by your side.
Marley still loves to play ball and Frisbee and has no problems with stairs, and he can go up and down just fine. He still has the zoomies when happy and excited.
Marley is very loving. He puts his head on our lap and looks up at you with his beautiful brown eyes randomly throughout the day. He loves lots of hugs and pets. When it’s bedtime, which for him it’s usually 8 pm, he gets up on his own and puts himself to bed until the next day. But he will always be patient and wait for you in the morning to take him outside. He does get a little whiny when it’s dinner time, though. Which is at 4:30-5pm. But he can wait longer if we’re not home yet without problem.
Marley always wants to please and is always very friendly with new people. He may be a little shy at first but he will become your friend quickly if you show him kindness.
As a puppy, he has never liked anyone touching his ears. He has never had ear infections, and vet visits have been normal for this. He just doesn’t like it. Because of this, it may be best for him to have a home with older kids who will respect that.
Marley has a very loving personality and is a very kind soul. He will make a great addition to a home!
