FURrrrriends…. Murphy and Puffin, a bonded pair of adorable friends are in desperate need of a loving, patient and knowledgeable foster home. They lost both their humans and have gone temporarily to friends to keep them out of the shelter. Unfortunately, the home they are in cannot keep them much longer so they are hoping to find a home where they can continue to live together.

Please consider opening your hearts to them and know that they have suffered great loss, grieving, confused, scared …and their world has been turned upside down. If you cannot adopt, perhaps you can tell your friends about them?

Murphy, who just turned 11 years old recently is the wheaten and Puffin, who will be turning 9 years old this month, is the black and tan. Puffin does have a pre-existing condition in which she takes medication for (a pill 3 times a week) and requires blood work every 4 months. Hearts4doxies is committing to financial responsibility for Puffin’s medical needs pertaining to her autoimmune disease which includes – quarterly blood work and prescription for the rest of her days. Puffin has Canine Immune – Mediated Thrombocytopenia (IMT), an autoimmune disease.

Both dogs do well with other small dogs. They have not been tested with cats and have not been around children. Murphy and Puffin are housebroken (however, you must take them out as they do not ask to go out), crate and leash trained. They know basic commands, sleep in the big bed and yes, bark when there’s a knock at the door. No surprise there! They are up-to-date with all of their vaccinations and both are a healthy weight. Murphy weighs 16 pounds and Puffin weighs 13 pounds.

Puffin has a calm demeanor, she is a bit shy and reserved when in a new environment and meeting new people. Once comfortable Puffin warms up very quickly. Murphy is an easy going, happy and calm boy.

Would you give Murphy & Puffin a warm, loving, gentle place to land? They deserve to know they are wanted, loved and cherished.

Puffin and Murphy are a cross post for Hearts4doxies Rescue. They are located in Gig Harbor, WA. and are in need of a home very soon.

These are not ODH dogs; we urge prospective owners to do their own evaluation.
