Odie is almost 16 years old and was surrendered to the shelter when his family of 11 years moved and could not take him along. Odie came into foster care in August of 2015 severely overweight – a whole 24 pounds, and badly in need of dental work. Within two months he got 15 awful teeth removed and came down to a healthy weight. Odie may be small but he has quite the personality. He is funny, enthusiastic, determined, and very dedicated to his foster family. He is very smart and observant and such a happy dog – Odie wags even while drinking water! A big fan of food, he periodically checks his food bowl during the day, just in case a treat magically appeared. Odie’s favorite things include walks, back of the ear scratches, and sleeping completely covered by a blanket. He loves human visitors to the household and interprets being a lap dog to mean positioning the front half of his long self into a lap. Odie is a major fan of cats and would really like a kitty as a pet of his own. This adorable old man will be loved for the rest of his life!

Update:  After a wonderfully long time in his new home, age (and likely a brain tumor) made it time to say goodbye to dear Odie.  He will be missed and was such a special character.
