Precious
Loves walks and cuddles
This is Precious. Her name suits her, don’t you think? Precious is a 25 pound shih tzu who is 12 years old. Precious sounds like a very nice girl who has lived peacefully with other dogs, cats and older children. Precious recently lost her lifelong home when her elderly owner was no longer able to care for her. She is in need of a home where she can stay forever.
We are told that Precious REALLY loves her people. She is a cuddly girl who enjoys getting close to her person and really loves it when she’s talked to. She does a really cute grrr when she wants you to pick her up to lay on your lap while you watch TV or read a book.
Precious has a cute prance. She enjoys her daily walks and really needs a home where she can continue getting out for walks. She reportedly has “perfect” leash manners. Precious loves exploring. She loves playing with her toys too. Doesn’t Precious sound like a fun dog?
Precious will let you know when someone is at the door by barking. This is the only time she will bark. She can manage quite a bit before she needs a potty break. Precious is accustomed to have other animals around and her former owner was home most of the time but we are told by her caregiver that she has been OK to stay alone. Of course an adopter should allow time for Precious to adapt to her new home and routine.
At this time Precious can manage stairs. Her eyes are “cloudy” which could be age related. Being a shih tzu, she needs special attention to her eyes. Her adopter should have her tear production checked and stay on top of any changes to her eyes and vision. She will require regular grooming to keep her looking adorable and her adopter should of course be able to afford her lifelong veterinary care.
This lovely girl sounds as though she is going to make a wonderful addition to a home!
