Red is a nine-year-old Australian cattle dog. He is 55 pounds, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccines. Red recently had a vet visit in November and has good health.

Red is pretty mellow although he would love to be in a home that takes him for frequent walks and throws a frisbee for him in the yard. He has excellent recall off leash, and is housebroken in his foster home.

Red gets along with most other dogs and confident cats, but he does need to meet them prior to being adopted. Red previously lived with kids, but being around young kids may bring out his herding instincts. He would do best in a home with older children.

Red is posted for the Alternative Humane Society of Bellingham, Washington. He is in a rescue foster home. Please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com if you think you are interested in adopting Red.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
