“Are you looking for a forever friend? Perhaps a little “shadow”?? Well guess what?!  Shadow is MY name and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m a Pomeranian boy and I’m 10 years old. My person got me as a puppy but sadly, I have outlived her. Lucky for me, family members took me in so I didn’t have to go to a shelter. These people love me but they have 3 REALLY BIG dogs who could step on me and easily squish me. Because of that, I’m kept in a gated area in the kitchen for my safety. I’d really like a home where I can roam around and play.

“I am a friendly fellow who has lived with other dogs just fine. I have always lived with kitties and I’ve mostly been good with them but sometimes, when the urge hits me, I’ll chase them for fun!
At this time I live with children and I do well with them. I am a patient boy who doesn’t complain. Because I’m small and a senior boy, I do prefer older, gentle kids who know to be careful around me.

“Walks are fun! I’m a good boy on a leash and hope my adopter will want to take me out for walks so I can stretch my legs and get some good sniffing time in. I can stay alone without an issue, but I do so in my crate for about 4 hours at a time. That is about as long as I would like to “hold it”. I can do stairs and I will let you know someone is at the door by barking to alert you. I don’t want to cause trouble for anyone so if you have neighbors who won’t appreciate my barks, I am probably not the boy for you.

“I have had my shots but there has not been a lot of vetting in my past. My adopter should be able and willing to afford my vet care, good quality dog food and help me with my itchy skin. I think I have allergies? This is why I got a shave down recently. We poms can have trouble with our fur and skin so someone who can help me be comfortable will reap the rewards of my luscious pom coat, once/if it grows back! As you can see, my eyes shine brightly and I hope you can see how much love I have to give. I am ready to join you, if you too, are looking for a best friend!”
