This black beauty’s name is Sadie. She is a 50 pound, 14 year old lab mix. Sadie does not live with another dog but her current owners believe she may have lived with other dogs before they adopted her. Her legs aren’t what they used to be in her youth; she has weakness in her rear legs and she tires easily. A home without too many stairs would be best for Sadie. She needs a cat free home with older children. Sadie loves her people, we’re told she’s a loyal and very affectionate girl. As we see often with older dogs, Sadie’s hearing and vision aren’t as sharp as they used to be but that doesn’t stop Sadie from enjoying life by any means! She can reportedly go longer than one would expect without needing a potty break. While she’s described as being “calm”, we are told she can also be energetic and playful. Sadie has moved around a bit in her life; she’s ready for stability and a home with people who will love her and afford her care for the rest of her days. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of having a black lab mix in your family, you will know what a wonderful companion a dog like Sadie can be. She is waiting in Seattle, WA for her true forever home.

Sadie is not an Old Dog Haven dog; she’s a courtesy post.
