Shadow

10 year old Shadow is a striking snow-colored boy. He is a 100 pound malamute mix who loves to sing. Shadow enjoys his walks and appreciates lots of pets from his humans.  He loves people and is an expert at coming in close for the “Malamute lean”. Shadow may get along with a calm female dog as he recently lived with one.

Shadow is a smart boy who learns quickly and loves a routine.  He knows and follows the verbal commands: “sit, stay, down, come, outside, treat, eat, and walk”. Shadow is gentle and even-tempered.  He will come and tell you if he needs more water or to be let outside, leading the way to the door.

This wonderful boy is so well behaved that he will not sneak food off the counter or any left out on tables.  He only takes human food if he is told it is OK.   While outside, Shadow enjoys relaxing in a fenced yard and does not dig or try to escape.  He likes car rides and playing with his toys. When he is on walks, he does not pull and is curious about other dogs, yet non-reactive.

Despite his age, he’s still got a ton of puppy energy left.  He is waiting for a forever home with people who will value his kindness, wisdom, and goofiness.
