Sherman
Loving and very affectionate!
13 year old Sherman is a beautiful brindle standard longhair dachshund. He is 27 pounds of the sweetest, gentlest, most loving and affectionate boy!! Sherman gets along great with everyone and loves going on easy walks, snuggling, afternoon naps, sniffing in the yard and mostly, spending quality time with his people.
Sherman is playful with other small dogs. It is unknown how he would do with cats but the rescue he is posted for believes he would probably do fine. Sherman would be best in a home with children 12 years old and older. Sherman is potty trained although a new change will require your patience and understanding as it takes him a small amount of time to acclimate.
Sherman looks forward to his daily walks and is a wonderful passenger in the car. A home without stairs would be ideal for Sherman. He does have some vision and hearing loss but this does not change anything about him, his heart, his soul.
Sherman is healthy, eats a quality diet which he must remain on, requires daily brushing with grooming, and takes daily supplements that benefit seniors: a joint for back, hips and Milk Thistle that supports organs.
A home with active retirees or someone who works from home is what Sherman needs. His adopter should be dachshund savvy and they must have a securely fenced yard.
Sherman is posted for Hearts4Doxies Rescue. He is being fostered in Puyallup, WA. If you meet the requirements to offer Sherman an adoptive home, applying to do so is the first step to Hearts4Doxies adoptive process – https://forms.gle/kNJ9vfoLmK8fBdx87
