Tito, a little Chihuahua/terrier mix, lived with a person who had to be moved into a different care situation and her family brought him into a local shelter. The shelter contacted Old Dog Haven for assistance and Tito was placed with a new-to-ODH Final Refuge mom who was delighted to get her first ODH dog!
She tells us that Tito is getting settled in but can still be a bit anxious. This is fairly common for some old dogs, but she suspects that he may have experienced some maltreatment in his life, so she’s working with him on overcoming his fear. Tito does love to go for walks and does pirouettes whenever he wants to go outside! He has already had a much-needed dental procedure and had 13 teeth removed and his mom thinks that’s helping him to feel better and more secure in his forever home.
Tito is now part of a loving family consisting of three other senior dogs (including two ODH dogs) and four cat siblings. They have all taken Tito in stride and his mom is so glad to have added this sweet boy to the pack!
