Wyler, a little Yorkie, was left by his owner at the shelter, supposedly 15 years old. He had very thin hair especially on his back, cataracts  were beginning to form, and he was very quiet.    Old Dog Haven was contacted, and a wonderful foster home was found for this sweet old fellow.   He settled in really well and his foster mom calls him her ‘little old man’.  However, he had a very scary episode of gastroenteritis that required hospitalization and prescription diet.

Hopefully now all is well and he can concentrate on growing his hair back in and enjoying his retirement home.  When he isn’t rolling around playing, he is usually snuggled up under his favorite blanket.  He’s now on medication and we’re not sure how much hair will return, but he surely loves being in his sweaters that keep him warm.

He can now enjoy his retirement home. When he isn’t rolling around playing in his bed, he is usually snuggled on his moms lap under a blanket. He has plenty of sweaters to keep his warm while his hair tries to grow back.

Wyler is a very kind soul that loves people as much as we love him in such a short time. He has a special bond with his momma and follows her everywhere. His new family love their little old man with him and say he’s been a true blessing.

Update: For the year and a half that we had him he had a big part of our hearts. He was a huge part of our family. He was the funniest, perfect dog we had. Thank you to Old Dog Haven for trusting us with my best friend. He is missed deeply. There will never be another dog like my wonderful Wyler.
